Subject:
Institutions traditionally responsible for preserving manuscripts collections (libraries, museums, etc.) face major challenges in taking on the migration to digital formats and the preservation of already digitized holdings. BYZANTI-ON provides technical solutions and integrated systems for digital preservation of Byzantine manuscript collections and also informatics tools to provide a virtual canon for iconographic themes which adorn the manuscripts.
